Check in is from 4pm. Guests are welcome to drop luggage off earlier, although we ask that they return from 4pm onwards.
Check-out is 10.30am. Guests who are waiting to make their onward journey are welcome to wait in a reception room.
We have no on-site parking but both we and our guests use the public car park at Parc y Shut just around the corner from the house. The price (until April 2024) is £3 for 24hrs or less for an hour, chargeable from 9am-7pm. Card, cash and app payments are accepted.
Although we are dog and cat-lovers, we don’t accept dogs or other pets. Rooms have mostly white carpets or sisal and we need to keep the rooms as fresh as possible for all guests. Also, our pet guinea pig Bailey sometimes likes to have the garden to himself in the summer.
No, we don’t have a restaurant but are able to provide private dining for exclusive use bookings. We also accept bookings for private parties / events out of season.
We have 6 guest rooms. 4 are with sea views and there are 2 spacious town-side rooms.
4 of our rooms can be twinned.
We do not have any single-bedded rooms abut accept single occupancy. Beds are king-size, super-king or twinned.
Yes. We accept small groups as well as exclusive-use group bookings. It’s usually best to contact us directly as we may be able to accommodate you better if we know your full requirements.
We have room for 12 in beds and can in addition accommodate up to 3 children.
We provide private dining for exclusive bookings as well as private parties out of season.
We kindly request that guests do not eat takeaways in the rooms. We are however, very happy to provide plates and cutlery to eat in either reception room or on the terrace in the summer.
Guests are welcome to have their own drinks to enjoy in their room. Drinks consumed on the terrace and reception rooms are for drinks from our bar only. Corkage for own bottles drunk in guest areas is £10 per bottles. There is a £15 corkage price for ice buckets and glasses for own bought Champagne and fizz in-room or on the premises.
Yes, breakfast is included in the rate unless specified otherwise.
Breakfast is served from 8-9am in the breakfast room. We also offer a Continental breakfast hamper from 7.30-9.30am. We do not serve breakfast outside these times.
Breakfast in the dining room includes a daily changing set menu which is mostly served at your table, with a some buffet items available. We include homemade and locally sourced produce as much as possible, including fresh fruits, yoghurt, compotes and granola jars, a daily special cooked course usually vegetarian and a basket selection with conserves, freshly ground Cardigan Bay coffee and Chantler’s of Fishguard blended loose leaf tea.
Yes, there is a great choice of places to eat on our doorstep as well as an excellent choice of independent restaurants within a short drive. Once you have booked with us, we will send you a list of our recommendations. Booking is recommended for high season.
Yes, there are some local taxi’s although advance booking is essential. Your confirmation email will include a list of taxi companies. It is especially important to pre-book taxi’s for ferry passengers with luggage.

Yes, we are very family friendly. As a guideline, under 12’s can share a room with parents in a room that accommodates an extra bed at a surcharge.
Yes, we cater for allergies except nut allergies (see below). We take allergies and food intolerances very seriously. We therefore request full details on the nature of your dietary requirements, ideally in writing at the time of confirming your reservation.
NUT ALLERGIES - we are very sorry but due to cross-contamination risks we do not recommend staying with us. We cannot guarantee that nut dust will not be present around the house or in the room from previous residents. As nuts are present daily in the kitchen and occasionally in the rooms, we are taking this stand to ensure your safety.
Yes, our set-menu breakfast is mostly vegetarian. We can also cater for vegan diets but charge a £5 supplement as we have to order in exclusive produce.
Currently, we only serve our treats to residents, although we have plans to extend this offer to non-residents in the near future.

Yes, we have a full license and operate an Honesty Bar. We have a specially curated selection of wines, local beers for self-service although on request serve white and sparkling wines with an ice bucket as well as a great gin and tonic, a few digestives including Cognac, port and some very special vintage Lophriag and Macallister whiskeys.
We do not serve a traditional full-cooked breakfast and we do not have a choice menu but guests are never left hungry and we can usually adapt our set special course if required. Breakfast receives great reviews as we try to make it special.
Yes, we provide packed lunches. Ideally let us know as soon in advance as possible or at the latest by 5pm the evening before. The price is £12 per person and £15 for a gluten-free or vegan packed lunch. We include a freshly made sandwich with Welsh cheese and salad and local chutney on a freshly baked sourdough roll, gourmet crisps, cake, fresh fruit, a bottle of Pembrokeshire water or can of Canton sparkling soft drink.

Yes, we usually take one night stays except at weekends during high season. We do not usually take group bookings of 1 night stays at any time during high season, although there might be exceptions depending on pre-existing reservations.
Yes, we accept ferry passenger both arriving from Ireland and those on their way to Rosslare.
We are a 5 minute drive from the Stenaline ferry port at Fishguard harbour in Goodwick.
The Fishguard and Goodwick station is 5 minutes drive away and about 5 minutes walk closer than the station at Fishguard Harbour. If you are happy to walk from the train station and only have eight luggage, the walk is around 20mins and includes a hill for a small part of the way.
There are single yellow lines outside the house so parking outside the house is fine only for a few minutes for offloading, but permitted from 6pm-8am.
Either park outside the house, we suggest leaving hazards on, ring the bell and we will help you with luggage and direct you around the corner to the public carpark at Parc y Shut. Alternatively, park in the carpark and we are a minute’s walk away.
Yes, there are buses northwards to Newport, Cardigan and Aberystwyth, a bus service to St David’s that stops at some of the main points on the coast along the way, another bus service to Haverfordswest with connections to south Pembrokeshire and the nearby train station. During the summer there are some additional coastal bus services that can be very convenient for dropping or collecting part of the route to walk the coastal path.

No, we have no lift in the house. We have 2 sea-view rooms with walk-in showers on the first floor which are our recommended rooms for those who aren’t able to walk easily.
Each half flight of stairs is 7 steps, so that’s a total of 14 stairs to the first floor and 28 to the second / top floor. There are also steps down to the entranceway for the garden and sea view terrace.
